PARIS PIANO TRIO is an ensemble of three great French soloists who have been connected by their love of chamber music since they were students together at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris. Each member of the ensemble graduated with top honors from the Conservatory where they are all now professors. The trio made its first tour when Regis Pasquier was just thirteen years old. The Paris Trio's first major tour of the United States in 1998 received superlative reviews from both critics and presenters, and it has been re-engaged in major cities from Washington to Los Angeles. The Paris Piano Trio is known as Les Musiciens throughout Europe.

The extraordinary talent of Regis Pasquier was recognized early, when he won first prize in both violin and chamber music at the Paris Conservatory at the age of twelve. He went on to win many other prestigious awards. Mr Pasquier is Professor of both Violin and Chamber Music at the Conservatory. He appears regularly with major orchestras around the globe, and has recorded the complete Mozart violin concertos.

A true Renaissance man, cellist Roland Pidoux has explored every avenue of classical music. Previously a member of the Orchestra of the Paris Opera under Rolf Leibermann, he also held a soloist chair in the French National Orchestra under Lorin Maazel. He is currently Professor of Cello at the Paris Conservatory.

From the time he began his piano studies at the age of three and a half Jean-Claude Pennetier has distinguished himself, winning two first prizes at the Paris Conservatory and going on to win numerous major international awards. When he was thirty, he interrupted his performing career to broaden his musical experience through conducting, composing, and participating in music for the theater. He has since resumed his performing career and has recently appeared with major orchestras, as well as with such the festivals of Prades and Seattle.
